INSTRUCTIONS – READ THESE BEFORE YOU BEGIN!

This test is designed to place you in the course that will benefit you the most, based on your current, active proficiency level. For the test to place you accurately, you must take it with no external support.

Do not use dictionaries, do not Google questions, do not take the test multiple times, do not ask for help from friends, etc. If you do these things, you will be placed into a class for which you are not prepared.

ABOUT THE TEST

The test has three parts.

  • Part One consists of multiple-choice and fill-in the blank questions.
  • Part Two asks for a writing sample in response to a question the test will provide.
  • Part Three asks for a video speaking sample in response to a question the test will provide.

The test is timed. You will have 90 minutes to complete Parts One and Two. You will have 12 hours to complete your video upload for Part Three. Instructions will be provided in the test.

BEFORE YOU BEGIN

Be sure you have set up a keyboard for your language before you begin the test.
